Voter Registration Event in Racine, Wisconsin Underscores Importance of 2A Advocacy and Civic Duty
The USCCA, the fastest-growing 2A organization in the country, recently hosted an event at Racine County Festival Park in Racine, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 28th. The event underscored a commitment to firearm education, training, and Second Amendment rights. The USCCA For Saving Lives Action Fund team was also on hand to head a grassroots voter registration effort and educate law-abiding gun owners about the vital connection between voting and protecting our 2A rights.
Attendees enjoyed a range of activities including concealed carry and home defense training, emergency first aid courses, and valuable self-defense workshops. The day also featured a guest speaker, Dave McDermott of McDermott Law Group, LLC, who provided insights into the legal aspects of self-defense.
One of the key highlights of the event was the Action Fund’s voter registration booth. This continued effort by the USCCA- FSL Action Fund has underscored the importance of not just being informed about firearm safety, but also ensuring that those who support the Second Amendment are actively participating in the electoral process. The Action Fund’s presence served as a practical resource for attendees, allowing them to register to vote and learn more about how their political engagement can impact the future of firearm legislation and self-defense rights.
With a little over a month until Election Day, community events like these underscore the importance of the intersection of responsible firearm ownership, education, and political engagement. By focusing on voter registration and advocacy, the Action Fund continues to highlight the critical role each individual plays in safeguarding Second Amendment rights. Engaging in events that blend education with civic action is a powerful way to ensure that our rights are preserved and protected.

As of 2022, nearly 300 thousand Tennesseans were not allowed to vote because of a felony conviction. There is a path to getting those rights back, but it’s a long one that now includes gun rights. With the presidential election heating up, so is the fight to get the disenfranchised back in the voting booths. Both Stephen Brown and Amanda Hopkins are convicted felons. Both were found guilty of drug possession, which means in the state of Tennessee, they have lost their citizenship rights, including their right to vote.
