Wisconsin: Senate Bill 466
The bill would prohibit “payment card networks” from requiring merchant category codes for a purchase that identifies a merchant as a firearms retailer. It would also prohibit the Wisconsin Department of Justice from maintaining a list of firearm purchases based on information from its background checks. No other government entity would be allowed to keep a firearm owner registry.
