USCCA-FSL Action Fund Calls on White House to Focus on Real Steps to Keep Americans Safe Instead of More Failed Government Policies

Responds to New White House Executive Order Released Today

West Bend, WI – The U.S. Concealed Carry Association for Saving Lives Action Fund (USCCA-FSL Action Fund) today released the following statement in response to a new executive order signed by President Biden, which the White House claims will help address gun violence and make Americans safer. The USCCA-FSL Action Fund is supported by tens of thousands of gun owners across the country, as well as the USCCA, which has over 850,000 members nationwide and is now the fastest-growing self-defense association in the country dedicated to responsible gun owners.

“The Biden Administration’s executive order is the latest example of misguided federal gun policy. More alarming is what the White House is failing to do on the heels of tragedies like the shooting at Apalachee High School. While active shooter drills and emergency preparedness  are critical, we must also allow willing and trained school staff to carry concealed firearms and increase trained security personnel. The fallacy of gun-free zones is clear, which is why we must harden schools while empowering staff to protect children and save lives,” said Katie Pointer Baney, Executive Director of the USCCA For Saving Lives Action Fund. “These tangible measures would have a far more significant impact on public safety than a toothless executive order calling for more studies and government reports.”

“The White House would prefer to ignore the reality that gun ownership continues to surge as Americans from all walks of life seek to defend themselves and their families. As an advocacy and education organization dedicated to creating citizen lobbyists, the USCCA-FSL Action Fund is committed to amplifying the voices of responsible, law-abiding gun owners. We continue to mobilize a grassroots voter registration effort to protect their Second Amendment rights while making our communities safer,” Baney concluded.
