USCCA For Saving Lives Action Fund Event Educates Wisconsinites Ahead of Election

With less than a week to go until the November 2024 elections, the USCCA’s For Saving Lives Action Fund hosted a timely event spotlighting critical Second Amendment issues impacting millions of Americans nationwide. Hosted at Eagle Sports Range in Cudahy, Wisconsin, the discussion on 2A rights offered the chance for law-abiding gun owners in attendance to highlight the gun rights issues impacting them directly.

Throughout the evening Katie Pointer Baney, Executive Director of the USCCA for Saving Lives Action Fund, moderated a fireside chat with State Senator Julian Bradley and iHeart Radio host Vicki McKenna that centered around the importance of National Concealed Carry Reciprocity, the dangers of “red flag” laws, and other self-defense topics.

State Senator Julian Bradley urged Wisconsinites in attendance to vote. He asked supporters to vote for a Constitutional amendment he authored to ensure only citizens can vote in our elections.

With candidates up and down the ticket making their closing arguments, the evening served to underscore the importance of showing up at the ballot box to elect pro-2A leaders who will defend the right to self-protection. During the event, the Action Fund worked to ensure that all attendees were armed with facts about what is at stake in the 2024 election for 2A advocates.

The Action Fund is proud to continue to lead the charge in the industry on safe and responsible gun ownership while simultaneously ensuring law abiding gun owners stay informed on issues surrounding the fundamental right to self-defense.

Join us in getting more involved in the political process today and pledge to vote!

CBS News: Trump And Harris’ Policy Plans And Views On Gun Control For The 2024 Election

Gun control is one of the most polarizing issues in American politics, and it’s been a topic of contention in the 2024 presidential election. Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have been at odds over guns — Trump has told voters Harris “wants to confiscate your guns,” a point Harris denies. She wants to see stronger gun control laws on the books but also says she’s a gun owner. Here are Trump’s and Harris’ stances and policy plans to address gun violence in America.

Washington Examiner: Harris Haunted By Gun Buyback Views In Swing State Pennsylvania

Republicans are casting Vice President Kamala Harris as a threat to gun rights in Pennsylvania as the culture wars take an outsize role in the presidential race. Harris has tacked to the right on gun restrictions since taking over the Democratic ticket in August. She still supports a ban on assault-style weapons but no longer says those guns should be turned over in a mandatory buyback program.

New York Post: Kamala Harris Claims Trump Would Try To Take Away Right To Free Speech, Gun Ownership: ‘He Wants To Terminate The Constitution’

Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday claimed Donald Trump will try to gut the First and Second Amendments if elected — even though she herself has a record of cracking down on free speech and backing gun restrictions. “When he says he wants to terminate the Constitution of the United States? You know what that would mean? In the Constitution of the United States is your Fourth Amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure, your Fifth Amendment right [to due process], your Sixth Amendment right to an attorney. Right?” Harris said in an interview with the Club Shay Shay podcast.

Buckeye Firearms Association: Future Of SCOTUS And Second Amendment Rights On The Ballot

There’s been a fair amount of hyperbole bantered about in the run up to the 2024 election. Voters have been subjected to admonitions that former President Donald Trump is a “threat to democracy.” There have been warnings that this election could be the last free election and accusations that the military could be weaponized against political foes. The notions are laughable but show the depths to which political opponents will go to inject fear to drive votes. There’s one threat that’s very real, however. And one that voters have had a significant effect on in previous elections. That’s the composition of the Supreme Court of the United States.
